Door
This week's photo challenge at Razmataz is DOOR. Here are my offerings.
These doors are at a local church. One door for the men, one door for the women. Interesting in a historical sense.......or is it AN historical sense? Pesky h words and the King's english!
This is from one of my favorite places - Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN. Beautiful! If doors could talk....................

Yes, Postcards is hosting it's first giveaway! Since I only have 10 followers (and that's quite alright) your chances are better than good to win!!!
The riddle - What t.v. show's sign off featured this little ditty?
"Goodnight, sleep tight
and pleasant dreams to you.
Here's a wish and a prayer that all your dreams come true.
And now, til we meet again........
Adios, au revoir, auf weidersein...............GOODNIGHT!" (my apologies for misspellings)
The prize: It's a mystery........but since I am addressing a chosen few, I will try my best to cater to the tastes/whims of the winner. Good luck!

Found at the Flea Market
I have been looking for a bookcase to put in the front room so my books could be at my fingertips once again!
I saw this baby at the Nashville Flea market Saturday, and thought......."If I could get that for $150, I'd take it!"
The guy said he could make me a deal. "How much?" I asked. "One fifty." He said. Even then, I hesitated. Whyyyyyyyy? What's happened to that financially confident girl I used to know? Oh yes, I remember, but I won't share that drawn out saga - I'm trying to keep my blood pressure down. Anyway, as you can see, it made it's way home to the front room! Thank you so much Denise, for your mini-van and your never-say-die attitude!
Supposedly, it's circa 1930 and was used for china and linens. I love the color, the detail and the price. Notice I haven't scraped off the price yet. It says, $225! That's why I'm keeping it on for awhile - to remind me of my sweet victory. Once I do a few little things to the front room and get the inversion table out of the entry, I'll show you the big picture. Until then, happy thrifting!

Let's Get This Party Started
As seen atop the buffet this Spring 2011. Okay my faithful followers, how about those pagodas! I was actually dreaming a little bigger but I think these suit The Ranch just fine. What I really, really wanted were two pagoda tulipieres. If you ladies see any out there somewhere, and they don't cost a fortune, let me know. Happy Friday to all of you and thanks for coming back! Wish You Were Here
Remember me? I used to be Ranch Dressing - DB Style. In spite of the fact that all the changes for the rental have been made, I've missed my little creative outlet. I've also missed sharing and being in touch with you guys. So......hello, again, what's new?
